XLM · Sell this asset
Sell Stellar (XLM) and get paid to your account
Stellar validates in seconds, with a single confirmation required and negligible send fees. Like the XRP Ledger, it requires a memo to identify the beneficiary of a pooled deposit.
- 1 network
- 22 payout methods
- 15 currencies
- minimum deposit 100 XLM
Accepted networks and confirmation delays
The number of confirmations we require is not negotiable: it is the threshold beyond which a chain reorganisation becomes unlikely enough to commit to an irrevocable payment on the other side.
| Network | Confirmations | Block time | Estimated wait | Memo required |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stellar | 1 | 5 s | 1 min | Memo |
This network requires a memo
A deposit sent without that field lands on a pooled account with no automatic way to attribute it: Memo — Stellar. Recovery becomes manual and does not always succeed. The field is shown next to the address — copy both.
The pitfall to know
The memo is mandatory and must be of the type we indicate. A deposit without a memo is not attributed automatically and triggers a manual procedure.
Deposit: minimum, rate lock, precision
These four values shape the order before you even pick a payout method. They belong to the asset.
- Minimum deposit
- 100 XLMBelow that, the network cost taken from the deposit is too large a share of the amount for the operation to make sense.
- Rate lock window
- 15 minutesShort window: the price can move while confirmations land, and we carry that risk once the rate is locked.
- Base unit decimals
- 7Amounts are handled as integers of base units, never floating point numbers: no silent rounding loss.
- Corridor status
- BetaBeta corridor: it works, but we do not have enough volume to consider our delays stabilised. A spread surcharge applies and is declared.
Multi-country payout methods
These rails behave identically in every country they cover: same detail format, same delay, same currency. A per-country page would say nothing more, so there is none.
| Payout method | Currency | Typical time | Min – max per operation | Rail fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Virement SEPA Instantane | EUR | under 5 minutes | €20.00 – €100,000 | No rail fee |
| Virement SEPA | EUR | about 4 hours | €20.00 – €500,000 | No rail fee |
| PayPal | EUR | about 10 minutes | €20.00 – €5,000.00 | €0.35 + 2.00% |
| WiseBeta | EUR | about 30 minutes | €20.00 – €100,000 | No rail fee |
| Revolut | EUR | under 5 minutes | €20.00 – €100,000 | No rail fee |
| Orange MoneyBeta | XOF | about 5 minutes | F CFA 100,000 – F CFA 100,000,000 | 0.90% |
| Virement international SWIFT | USD | 2 business day(s) | $500.00 – $1,000,000 | $25.00 |
The delays shown are market orders of magnitude, expressed as medians. They are not a contractual commitment and are republished as soon as our own measurements contradict them.

What you pay, line by line
Three deductions, never one more. The lines sum to exactly the gap to the mid-market rate.
The network cost is taken in kind from your deposit, before any conversion: it is what leaving the XLM chain costs, and it does not come to us. It varies with the network you pick, which is the main reason to prefer one over another.
Our spread carries a volatility surcharge. Once the rate is locked, we carry the market move until your deposit lands: that surcharge is the price of the guarantee, and it appears as its own line.
The rail fee depends on the payout method you pick, and it is shown in the table above before you select anything. Most local rails charge none; the international wire and the e-wallet are the notable exceptions.
Total time, with no favourable rounding
The delay you experience is the sum of two things: the confirmation wait on the network you pick, then the rail settlement. We show both separately because we control neither — we only control triggering the payout as soon as confirmations land, with no extra wait on our side.

If the confirmation time bothers you, another asset in the same wallet often changes everything.

Frequently asked questions about selling Stellar
How long does selling Stellar take?
Two durations add up. First the on-chain confirmation: 1 min on Stellar. Then the settlement of the rail you pick: under 5 minutes on Virement SEPA Instantane, and up to several business days on an international wire. The payout method table above gives each one.
What is the minimum XLM deposit?
100 XLM. Below that threshold the network cost taken from the deposit is too large a share of the amount for the operation to make sense. This minimum belongs to the asset: it does not depend on the payout method, which has its own settlement minimum.
What happens if I forget the Memo?
The deposit does reach our account, but without the field that attributes it to you: Memo (Stellar). It is then not credited automatically and requires a manual search from the timestamp and amount, which does not always succeed. Always copy the field together with the address, and check it appears in your wallet confirmation screen.
Is the displayed XLM rate guaranteed?
The net amount is firm from the moment the order is created and stays so for 15 minutes. If your deposit lands after expiry we re-quote and ask you to accept the new amount before anything is paid. Nothing is ever executed at an amount you have not seen.
What does “beta” mean for Stellar?
The corridor works and orders are executed, but the volume handled does not yet let us consider our delays stabilised. For that reason we apply a spread surcharge, declared in the breakdown, and we do not propose these pages for indexing until the corridor moves to full production.
