This local corridor in numbers

These values come from the catalogue published on this site. Delays are market orders of magnitude, given as median and p95, never contractual commitments.

Median total time

Rail settlement (p50 / p95)
1 min / 10 minThe median describes the common case, the p95 the slow one. We show both: a median alone hides exactly what worries you.

02

What is specific to Brazil

Three things change from country to country on a local rail: how the beneficiary is designated, the name matching rules, and the reporting framework.

The local landscape

Brazil receives reais by PIX, available at all times, including nights, weekends and holidays. It is the fastest rail in our catalogue alongside SEPA Instant.

Details and name matching

The PIX key can be a CPF, CNPJ, email, phone or random key. It must be registered to the holder of the CPF you declare: the match is checked, and a key belonging to a relative fails the payment.

Reporting framework

Digital asset operations carry specific reporting obligations with the Brazilian federal revenue service, with distinct regimes depending on whether a domestic or foreign platform is used. We give no tax advice: your account exports every operation for your accountant.

Required details and validation rules

Every field is validated as you type, not at send time: an error is flagged immediately rather than as a rejection days later.

The trip, step by step

Each step has its own duration, and none is rounded in our favour.

01

Quote and lock

The net shows with the full breakdown, before any sign-up. The rate is frozen when the order is created.

02

Beneficiary details

You enter the PIX details required in Brazil. Every format is checked immediately.

03

Deposit and confirmation

A dedicated address for your DAI, then about 1 min of confirmation on the fastest network.

04

Payout

The order goes out on PIX as soon as the threshold is reached: under 5 minutes of settlement, then a downloadable receipt.

05

How PIX actually works

The PIX key points to a nationally registered account. Settlement is immediate and final between the two institutions, with no deferred clearing. That is why the median delay is measured in minutes, not hours.

The key must be registered to the holder of the CPF you declare. A key belonging to a third party, even a relative, fails the match check and the payment is refused.

On Polygon PoS we require one hundred and twenty-eight confirmations: the threshold beyond which a chain reorganisation becomes negligible. Expect a few minutes more than on Arbitrum.

FAQ: Dai to PIX in Brazil

How long between sending my DAI and the money landing in Brazil?

About 2 min in total in the median case: the confirmation time of the network you pick, then under 5 minutes of settlement on PIX. This rail also runs on weekends and holidays.

What is the minimum to sell Dai to PIX?

Two minimums apply at once: 20 DAI on the deposit side, and R$10.00 on the settlement side. The stricter of the two decides. The rail cap is R$50,000.00 per operation.

What exactly do I pay on this corridor?

Three lines, shown separately before you confirm: the DAI network cost, taken in kind from your deposit; our spread, surcharged for the corridor’s beta status; and the rail fee, that is No rail fee. There is no fourth line, and the three sum to exactly the gap between the mid-market value and the net.

Which PIX details do I provide in Brazil?

The PIX key can be a CPF, CNPJ, email, phone or random key. It must be registered to the holder of the CPF you declare: the match is checked, and a key belonging to a relative fails the payment.

What about tax in Brazil?

Digital asset operations carry specific reporting obligations with the Brazilian federal revenue service, with distinct regimes depending on whether a domestic or foreign platform is used. We give no tax advice: your account exports every operation for your accountant.

What if I send an amount different from the quote?

Nothing is lost. An underpayment triggers a recalculation at the locked rate, and you receive the amount matching what you actually sent. An overpayment is handled the same way on the excess. In both cases, if the result falls below the rail minimum of R$10.00, we offer another payout method rather than freezing the funds.
